Description

Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside is a glycoside that can be isolated from R. luteolin. Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside significantly inhibits cataracts induced in ovine lenses. Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside inhibits the activity of Ureaplasma urealyticumATCC and clinical strains[1][2][3].

IC50 & Target

ATCC and clinical strains of Ureaplasma urealyticum[3]

In Vitro

Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside (10 µM; 24 h) significantly inhibits cataracts induced in ovine lenses incubated in 45 % hypotonic hepes buffered solution (HBS) for 24 h[2].
Luteolin-3′,7-diglucoside inhibits the activity of Ureaplasma urealyticum ATCC strains (MIC range=7.8-15.6 µM) and Ureaplasma urealyticum clinical strains (MIC range=0.48-1.95 µM)[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
