Biological Activity
Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl (10 µM; foliar spray; every 7 days; 25 days) suppresses heat-induced leaf senescence in creeping bentgrass by enhancing chlorophyll synthesis (increasing PBGD activity by up to 38.56%) and inhibiting chlorophyll degradation (reducing key degrading enzyme activities by up to 49.14%), improving turf quality, membrane stability, and chlorophyll content[1].
Morphactin Chlorflurenol methyl induces shoot redifferentiation from Nicotiana tabacum 'Wisconsin No. 38' pith calluses. The treatment of 1.0 mg/L plus 2.0 mg/L kinetin (HY-N0160) yields a 70% shoot formation rate, whereas 1.0 mg/L alone results in a 10% shoot formation rate.[2].
