Preschisanartanin O is a platelet aggregation inhibitor found in Schisandra lancifolia. Preschisanartanin O inhibits platelet aggregation induced by platelet-activating factor (PAF)^[1].

In Vitro

Preschisanartanin O (Compound 5) (100 μg/mL) inhibits platelet-activating factor-induced platelet aggregation by 29.3 ± 1.0%, with only slight activity against collagen and Arachidonic acid (HY-109590)-induced aggregation and no activity against thrombin-induced aggregation^[1].
