VYPFPGPIHN is not extensively taken up or transported by differentiated intestinal cell monolayers[1].

In Vitro

The peptide VYPFPGPIHN (500 μM; 120 min) incubated with differentiated Caco-2 cell monolayers does not change its ACE inhibitory activity, and no transport of the peptide across the monolayer is detected[1].
