Xanthone V1a exerts cytotoxic effects against colon, hepatocellular, and gastric carcinoma cells. Xanthone V1a exhibits scavenging activitys against DPPH and ABTS. Xanthone V1a can be used for the research of colon carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and gastric carcinoma[1][2].

In Vitro

Xanthone V1a (72 h) exhibits significant cytotoxicity against HCT-116, SMMC-7721, and SGC-7901 cell lines with IC50 values of 0.3, 6.2, and 3.4 μg/mL, respectively, showing no cytotoxicity against BGC-823 cells[1].
Xanthone V1a (30 min) shows significant anti-oxidant activity against the DPPH radical an IC50 of 10.43 μM[2].
Xanthone V1a (200 μg/mL, 5 min) inhibits ABTS with an inhibition of 93.69%[2].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
