Description

6-O-Senesioyl plenolin is a sesquiterpene lactone found in Centipeda minima with antiallergic activity. 6-O-Senesioyl plenolin inhibits histamine release from mast cells (IC50 = 18 μM) and suppresses pigment exudation in passive cutaneous anaphylaxis tests. 6-O-Senesioyl plenolin can be used in research related to allergy[1].

In Vitro

6-O-Senesioyl plenolin (compound 2) inhibits Concanavalin A (HY-P2149)-induced histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells with an IC50 of 18 μM[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
