Arevirumab-3 (15 mg/kg of each monoclonal antibody in the cocktail; i.v.; days 8, 11, and 14 post-challenge) provides 100% survival to cynomolgus macaques with advanced Lassa fever caused by LASV lineage II strain 0043/LV/14, and significantly reduces viral loads in circulation and tissues[1].
Arevirumab-3 (15 mg/kg of each monoclonal antibody in the cocktail; i.v.; days 8, 11, and 14 post-challenge) provides 100% survival to cynomolgus macaques with advanced Lassa fever caused by LASV lineage III strain Ojoko, and significantly reduces viral loads in circulation and tissues[1].

Animal Model: Macaca fascicularis (healthy adult, Asian origin, male and female, age ~4 to 5.5 y, weight 3.0 to 5.2 kg)[1]
Dosage: 15 mg/kg of each monoclonal antibody (8.9F, 12.1F, 37.2D) in the Arevirumab-3 cocktail
Administration: i.v.; days 8, 11, and 14 post-challenge
Result: Ensured 100% survival of all 5 treated macaques at study end.
Cleared infectious LASV from circulation by day 11 post-challenge in all treated animals.
Eliminated circulating viral genomic RNA (vRNA) in all treated animals by day 21 post-challenge.
Reduced tissue vRNA levels significantly compared to untreated control (multiplicity-adjusted P ≤ 0.020 for all assayed tissues).
Caused a significant difference in peak viremia (measured by both vRNA and infectious virus) between treated animals and control cohorts (P = 0.004 and P = 0.007, respectively).
