Cardiogen
Cardiogen is a short biologically active peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg) that does not bind single-stranded deoxyribooligonucleotides, slightly quenches fluorescence of some double-stranded deoxyribooligonucleotides, strongly quenches fluorescence of methylated and unmethylated λ phage DNA-ethidium bromide complexes.

Biologische Aktivität
Cardiogen does not bind with single-stranded monotonous oligonucleotides or GC-enriched oligonucleotides and only slightly interacts with one double-stranded oligonucleotide (FAM-GCG GCG TGATCA GCG GCG) with a Stern-Volmer constant of 0.34 × 104[1].
Cardiogen interacts with both unmethylated and methylated λ phage DNA-EB complexes more strongly than other tested peptides, with Stern-Volmer constants of 3.0 × 104 (unmethylated) and 2.8 × 104 (methylated)[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
