Biological Activity
Aviglycine (1 mM, 10 min) is a competitive inhibitor for ethylene biosynthesis, that reduces the synthesis of ethylene, delays the postharvest ripening of tomato fruits and extends the shelf life of the fruits[1].
Aviglycine is the inhibitor for cystathionine β-lyase (CBL) and cystathionine γ-lyase (CGL) with Ki of 1.1 μM and 10.5 μM[3].
