Anticodon

Definition:

Anticodon is used to pair three adjacent bases of mRNA triplet codon when tRNA carrying amino acid recognizes mRNA binding site. These three bases can be paired with the codon complementary on the mRNA, so that the codon corresponding amino acid incorporation into a certain position of the polypeptide chain.
