Biological Activity: Longilactone is a quassinoid diterpenoid isolated from the roots of Eurycoma longifolia. Longilactone induces apoptosis in MCF-7 cells via the extrinsic caspase pathway, activating the cleavage of caspase-8, caspase-7 and PARP. Longilactone can be used in research related to breast cancer and human lung cancer[1][2][3].
