Biological Activity: Antituberculosis agent-6 (compound 9g) is a potent antimycobacterial agent. Antituberculosis agent-6 shows significant activity against M. tuberculosis, with a MIC of 3.49 μM. Antituberculosis agent-6 also shows good antifungal activity against A. niger, with a MIC of 62.50 μM. Antituberculosis agent-6 shows high GI absorption[1].
