Pennogenin 3-O-beta-chacotrioside exhibits strong binding affinity for the pro-apoptotic proteins CYTC, AIF1 and BAX. Pennogenin 3-O-beta-chacotrioside triggers reactive oxygen species-induced autophagy in cancer cells. Pennogenin 3-O-beta-chacotrioside can be used in studies related to colorectal cancer[1][2][3].
