Biological Activity: Ara-ATP trisodium is an ATP-competitive poly (A) polymerase (poly (A) polymerase) inhibitor with a Ki value of 4 μM for the chromatin-bound form and a Ki value of 60 μM for the nucleoplasmic (free) form. Ara-ATP trisodium blocks pre-mRNA 3' end processing by inhibiting endonucleolytic cleavage, poly (A) addition, and the formation of cleavage and polyadenylation-specific RNA-protein complexes. Ara-ATP trisodium selectively inhibits initial polyadenylation rather than poly (A) elongation. Ara-ATP trisodium is used in the study of viral infections[1][2].
