LY-23

LY-23 is an orally active α-glucosidase inhibitor (K_i = 0.05 μM), with IC₅₀ values of 0.18 μM, 0.14 μM and 0.51 μM against maltase, sucrase and isomaltase, respectively. LY-23 reduces the level of postprandial blood glucose elevation. LY-23 is applicable to research related to postprandial hyperglycemia.

LY-23 (72 h) exhibits no significant in vitro cytotoxicity in HEK-293T and L02 cells at concentrations up to 400 μM^[1].

In Vivo

LY-23 (1.0 mg/kg; p.o.; single administration) reduces postprandial blood glucose in maltose-loaded mice, with a 47.1% decrease in its AUC_0-t^[1].
LY-23 (1.0-10.0 mg/kg; p.o.; single administration) reduces postprandial blood glucose in sucrose-loaded mice. At the dose of 1.0 mg/kg, it decreases AUC_0-t by 41.5%, while at 10.0 mg/kg, the reduction rate of AUC_0-t reaches 48.1%^[1].
