7-Methyluric acid is a methylated purine metabolite of Theobromine (HY-N0138) and Caffeine. 7-Methyluric acid is a substrate of OAT1 (SLC22A6) and OAT3 (SLC22A8). 7-Methyluric acid is not transported by OATP1B1, OATP1B3, OCT2, MATE1, or P-glycoprotein. 7-Methyluric acid can be used in studies on urolithiasis.

7-Methyluric acid (10-100 μM; 20 min) is a substrate of OAT1 in HEK-OAT1 cells[15].
7-Methyluric acid (100 μM; 20 min) does not show significant transport by OATP1B1, OATP1B3, OCT2, or MATE1 in HEK cells[15].
