CPP12 TFA is a small, amphipathic, cyclic cell-penetrating peptide (CPP). CPP12 TFA binds directly to plasma membrane phospholipids, enters mammalian cells via endocytosis, and then efficiently escapes from endosomes. CPP12 TFA can be used for the intracellular delivery of drugs and chemical probes.

Biological Activity
CPP12 (5 μM; 2 h) TFA exhibits high cytosolic entry efficiency in HeLa cells, serving as a 100% activity reference; its efficiency is reduced ~25-fold when serum concentration increases from 1% to 10% FBS[1].
CPP12 (5 μM; 2 h) TFA enters HeLa cells primarily via endocytosis followed by endosomal escape[1].
