Description

CPP12 is a small, amphipathic, cyclic cell-penetrating peptide (CPP). CPP12 binds directly to plasma membrane phospholipids, enters mammalian cells via endocytosis, and then efficiently escapes from endosomes. CPP12 can be used for the intracellular delivery of drugs and chemical probes[1].

In Vitro

CPP12 (5 μM; 2 h) exhibits high cytosolic entry efficiency in HeLa cells, serving as a 100% activity reference; its efficiency is reduced ~25-fold when serum concentration increases from 1% to 10% FBS[1].
CPP12 (5 μM; 2 h) enters HeLa cells primarily via endocytosis followed by endosomal escape[1].
