It is intended to provide protection against mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, chiggers, leeches, and many other biting insects. Diethyltoluamide is toxic to hepatocytes and can lead to many physiological, pharmacological, and behavioral abnormal ities, particularly motor deficits and learning and memory dysfunction.
