DSPE-PEG1000-Mal-Cys-CGNKRTRGC (Disulfide bridge: Cys2-Cys10) is a PEG compound which composed of DSPE and a nine residue peptide (LyP-1) (HY-P2526). LyP-1 is a cyclic 9-amino-acids tumor homing peptide and selectively bind to p32 receptors overexpressed in various tumor-associated cells.

Biological Activity
DSPE (distearate phosphatidylethanolamine): Acts as a hydrophobic anchor. Its two long hydrophobic chains are stably embedded in the lipid bilayer of the nanocarrier.
PEG1000 (polyethylene glycol, molecular weight 1000 Da): Acts as a hydrophilic linker and cryptic layer. Provides long-cycle functionality and exposes active peptides on the nanoparticle surface.
CGNKRTRGC (Lyp-1): A cyclic nonapeptide formed by disulfide bonds between two cysteine residues at the N- and C-termini. CGNKRTRGC specifically recognizes and binds to neurociliaryin-1, which is highly expressed on the surface of tumor lymphatic endothelial cells and certain tumor cells.
DSPE-PEG1000-Mal-Cys-CGNKRTRGC (Disulfide bridge: Cys2-Cys10) enables active targeting and penetration of tumor tissue.
