Glucosylceramide, plant
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Glucosylceramide, plant (GluCer (Soy)) is an orally active, plant-derived glucosylceramide. Glucosylceramide, plant inhibits lipopolysaccharide-induced cytokine production and Apoptosis. Glucosylceramide, plant suppresses DSS-induced body weight loss, colonic crypt damage and intestinal inflammation in mice. Glucosylceramide, plant can be used in research related to inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.

Result:Suppressed DSS-induced body weight loss in the early phase of treatment.
Reduced DSS-induced chorionic crypt injury observed via toluidine blue-stained colon histology.
Significantly suppressed DSS-elevated myeloperoxidase levels, which were approximately 2-fold higher in DSS-only controls compared to untreated mice.
Normalized DSS-induced increases in inflammatory cytokines (IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-16), chemokines (MIG, IP-10), and adhesion molecules (C5/C5a, sICAM-1) to levels similar to untreated mice.
