Flurazole
Flurazole is a herbicide safener mainly used for pre-treating crop seeds (especially sorghum seeds) to protect seeds from herbicide damage without reducing the herbicide's weed control efficacy. Flurazole regulates photosynthesis, CO2 fixation, and the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins and lipids in isolated soybean cells, exerting stimulatory effects at low concentrations and inhibitory effects at high concentrations.

Biological Activity
Flurazole (0.28-2.24 kg/ha) antagonizes the herbicide phytotoxicity caused by Alachlor (HY-B2014), Metolachlor (HY-B1871), and EPTC to maize seedlings, providing partial to complete protection[1].
Flurazole (0.1-100 μM; 30-120 min) stimulates CO2 fixation in enzymatically isolated soybean leaf cells; at a concentration of 100 μM, it inhibits this process by 84%-98% across all incubation periods; while at 10 μM for 120 min, it causes mild inhibition[3].
Flurazole (0.1-100 μM; 30-120 min) stimulates protein synthesis in enzymatically isolated Glycine max soybean leaf cells; at a concentration of 100 μM, it inhibits this process, showing time-dependent inhibition ranging from 64% to 84%; and a mild but significant inhibition occurs after incubation at 10 μM for 120 min[3].
Flurazole (0.1-100 μM; 30-120 min) exerts a weak stimulatory effect on RNA synthesis in enzymatically isolated soybean leaf cells at low concentrations and early incubation stages, while it inhibits this process at a concentration of 100 μM, with an inhibition rate of 8%-59% that increases with prolonged incubation time[3].
