SR-34831 is a NAMPT activator, NAD level stabilizer and neuroprotective agent. SR-34831 enhances the enzymatic activity of human NAMPT, prevents intracellular NAD depletion, and counteracts neuronal death induced by toxic misfolded prion proteins.
