Description

Mulberrofuran W is a 2-arylbenzofuran with a farnesyl group that exists in the root bark of Morus mongolica. It also acts as a cytotoxic agent with low cytotoxicity and weak tumor specificity^[1].

In Vitro

Mulberrofuran W induces cytotoxicity against HSC-2, HSG, and HGF cells with CC₅₀ values of 70 μM, 70 μM, and 90 μM respectively, and shows marginal tumor specificity with a ratio of 1.3^[1].
