Description

NOSO-502 is an inhibitor of bacterial translation. NOSO-502 exhibits inhibitory activity against Enterobacteriaceae. NOSO-502 has good safety and antibacterial properties[1].

In Vitro

NOSO-502 (16 µg/mL and 32 µg/mL; 24 h) causes E.coli ATCC 25922 and K. pneumoniae ATCC 43816 strains develop resistance to NOSO-502[1].
NOSO-502 (100 µM) decreases the activity of HRPTEpiC cells, but insignificantly increases the expression of heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) and kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM-1)[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
