Polybia-MP1
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Polybia-MP1 is an antimicrobial peptide with antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer activities. Polybia-MP1 selectively targets cancer cells by interacting with PS and PE in the outer leaflet of cell membranes, and induces necrosis via pore formation. Polybia-MP1 exhibits antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Polybia-MP1 can be used in research related to bacterial infections, fungal infections and cancers.

Biological Activity
Polybia-MP1 (15-30 μg/mL; 3 h) exhibits stronger antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa cells pre-incubated with DP, and the proportions of viable cells are significantly lower at doses of 9 μM and 18 μM[2].
Polybia-MP1 selectively targets cancer cells by interacting with PS and PE in the outer leaflet of the cell membrane, induces necrosis via pore formation, and reaches 90% of its maximum anticancer activity within 30 min to 1 h[3].
Polybia-MP1 exhibits potent antibacterial, antifungal and biofilm inhibitory activities, while showing low activity against cholesterol-rich normal mammalian cell membranes[3].
