3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone is an orally active antioxidant. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone inhibits the NF-κB, JAK1/STAT1, AP-1, IRF3, and MAPK/MEK/ERK pathways, while activating Nrf2 and reducing Keap1, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone inhibits NO, PGE2, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and ROS production, upregulates GSH, and activates KATP channels, adenosine A3 receptors, and GABAA receptors. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone inhibits PPARγ expression and adipogenic differentiation, induces osteogenic differentiation; it also inhibits 5-lipoxygenase and xanthine oxidase, weakly inhibits PARP1, and scavenges DPPH and superoxide radicals. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone can be used for research on peripheral nerve injury, septic shock, obesity, influenza A virus infection, infertility, and diabetic complications .

CL-385319 is an N-substituted piperidine compound with inhibitory activity against H5N1 avian influenza A virus infection. CL-385319 exhibited an IC50 of 27.03±2.54 μM against infection of highly pathogenic H5N1 virus in Madin-Darby canine kidney cells (MDCK). CL-385319 had low cytotoxicity with a CC50 of 1.48 mM and was able to inhibit the entry of pseudoviruses carrying H5N1 strains from different sources, but had no inhibitory effect on the entry of VSV-G pseudotyped particles. Pseudoviruses with the M24A mutation in HA1 or the F110S mutation in HA2 were resistant to CL-385319, indicating that these two residues in the cavity region may be critical for the binding of CL-385319 .

PU-48 is a blood-brain barrier-permeable urea transporter (UT) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.32 μM against rat UT-A. By functionally inhibiting urea transporters (including UT-A subtypes) in the renal inner medullary collecting ducts, PU-48 induces urea-selective diuresis. PU-48 does not alter blood levels of sodium, potassium or chloride ions, nor does it affect the excretion of non-urea solutes. PU-48 shows no significant toxicity in cell or animal models and can be used in edema-related research .

Melimine is an antimicrobial peptide with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative/Gram-positive bacteria, fungi and protozoa. Melimine neutralizes endotoxin activity by interacting with the phosphate groups of lipid A, depolarizes and permeabilizes the cytoplasmic membrane of *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*, and induces bacterial lysis. Melimine exerts additive antiviral effects against H1N1 and MHV-1 when used in combination with RK610. Melimine retains its antimicrobial activity when conjugated to polymer and titanium surfaces. Melimine can be used in infection-related research .
