MGB-BP-3 is an orally aective Gram-positive bactericide and DNA-binding agent. MGB-BP-3 blocks transcription initiation by binding to AT-rich bacterial DNA regions, and interferes with the functions of DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, but does not stabilize cleavage complexes or induce the SOS response. MGB-BP-3 induces energy depletion in *Staphylococcus aureus* and inhibits spore formation in *Clostridioides difficile*, exhibiting intrinsic resistance resilience. MGB-BP-3 can be used in the research of *Clostridioides difficile*-associated diseases .

IMP-1700 is a potent DNA damage potentiator and antibacterial agent. IMP-1700 inhibits the bacterial SOS response to DNA damage. IMP-1700 potently sensitizes MRSA to Ciprofloxacin (HY-B0356) with an EC50 of 5.9 nM. IMP-1700 inhibits the growth of E. coli K-12 BW25113, S. aureus SH1000 and MRSA USA300 JE2 .

Eilatin is a seven-ring pyridoacridine marine alkaloid with anticancer, antibacterial, and antiparasitic activities. Eilatin acts as a DNA intercalator with selectivity for electron-deficient polycyclic purines; it can chelate Ni 2+ ions and cleave DNA via hydroxyl radical generation. Eilatin induces the SOS response in bacteria, inhibits cancer cell proliferation, and induces cancer cell differentiation and reversion of transformation. The IC50 of Eilatin against Trypanosoma brucei brucei is 1.33 μM. Eilatin can be used in research related to colon tumors, neuroblastoma, chronic myeloid leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, and trypanosome infections .

Bromochloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (BCDMH) is a fungicide. Bromochloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin disrupts bacterial cell membranes, alters membrane structure and permeability, and induces leakage of soluble proteins and ions. Bromochloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin is applicable to studies related to bacterial infections .
