Tecomella undulata Extract, also known as Rohida extract, is a valuable botanical extract derived from the bark and leaves of the Tecomella undulata plant native to the Indian Thar Desert and is rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, quinones, triterpenoids, and other phytochemicals that contribute to its diverse therapeutic properties. This extract is widely recognized for its hepatoprotective effects demonstrated through its ability to protect against liver damage induced by toxins such as paracetamol and carbon tetrachloride by normalizing elevated liver enzyme levels reducing oxidative stress and improving liver function. Additionally, it exhibits significant anti-inflammatory activity comparable to standard drugs like indomethacin and has been used to treat conditions like ascites and hepatosplenomegaly while also showing immunomodulatory effects by enhancing both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses and possessing antimicrobial properties that make it effective against various pathogens. Recent research suggests that Tecomella undulata may have potential in managing nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) by reducing body weight insulin resistance and improving liver function markers making it a versatile natural remedy with significant applications in hepatoprotection anti-inflammation and immune support.

Quinine hydrochloride is an alkaloid extracted from cinchona bark and exhibits oral activity, acting as a potassium channel inhibitor. Quinine hydrochloride modulates the tolerance of red blood cells and presents dose-dependent toxicity and embryonic effects. Quinine hydrochloride is a typical hemolysin that directly lyses red blood cells, with cellular components of red blood cell membranes as its action targets. Quinine hydrochloride disrupts red blood cell membranes and induces hemolysis at high concentrations, while merely weakening the anti-hemolytic capacity of red blood cells at low concentrations. Quinine hydrochloride continuously reduces red blood cell tolerance after in vivo administration, and high doses can also alter blood cell counts. Quinine hydrochloride can be applied to researches related to red blood cell hemolysis, cancer and malaria .

SKF 104976 is a 3,2-carboxylic acid derivative with potent 14-alpha-demethylase (14 alpha DM) inhibitory activity. SKF 104976 inhibited 14 alpha DM activity by 50% at 2 nM in Hep G2 cell extracts. SKF 104976 inhibited the incorporation of [14C]acetate into cholesterol in intact cells at similar concentrations, accompanied by accumulation of lanosterol, and resulted in a 40-70% decrease in 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMGR) activity. SKF 104976 did not affect the uptake and degradation of low-density lipoprotein in Hep G2 cells, indicating that HMGR and low-density lipoprotein receptor activities are not coordinately regulated under these conditions. The inhibitory effect of SKF 104976 on HMGR activity remained unchanged even when the flux of carbon units in the sterol synthesis pathway was reduced by 80%. SKF 104976 did not inhibit HMGR activity under conditions where sterol synthesis was almost completely blocked by lovastatin .

Allyl isothiocyanate, produced by the hydrolysis of (E/Z)-sinigrin free base by myrosinase, has an IC50 of 2.71 μM against HL60 leukemia cells. The hydrolysis products of (E/Z)-sinigrin free base can further activate apoptosis pathways, inhibit NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways, and induce phase II metabolic enzyme activity, thus exhibiting anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and wound healing activities. (E/Z)-Sinigrin free base can be used in research on cancer, inflammation-related diseases (such as atherosclerosis), and infectious diseases. (E/Z)-Sinigrin free base can be naturally extracted from the seeds of Brassica nigra, Brassica juncea, and other Brassicaceae plants such as broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Methyl pechueloate is a guaiane-type sesquiterpene ester compound and a potential precursor of xerantholide. It is useful in the structural elucidation and biosynthetic pathway studies of sesquiterpenoids. Methyl pechueloate can be naturally extracted from the aerial parts of Pechuel-Loeschea leibnitziae (Kuntze) O. Hoffm .

Licoflavanone (3′-Prenylnaringenin) is a flavanone with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities. Licoflavanone can be isolated from the leaf extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra. Licoflavanone downregulates the mTOR/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway to inhibit the proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer cells, while activates Bax, Bad and multiple caspase enzymes to induce apoptosis. Its anti-inflammatory effect is manifested by reducing the nuclear translocation of NF-κB, decreasing the phosphorylation levels of p38, JNK and ERK1/2, thereby inhibiting the expression of nitric oxide, proinflammatory cytokines, COX-2 and iNOS. Licoflavanone is used in studies on nasopharyngeal carcinoma and related mechanisms .

Glaucine (O,O-Dimethylisoboldine) is an alkaloid extracted from Glaucium flavum that possesses various activities, including cough relief, bronchodilation, anti-inflammatory effects, analgesia, antipyretic properties, and anticancer effects. Glaucine acts as a selective and orally active inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), with a Ki of 3.4 µM in human bronchial tissues and polymorphonuclear leukocytes. Glaucine induces relaxation of human isolated bronchi by antagonizing calcium channels. Additionally, Glaucine inhibits the activation of NF-κB, leading to a reduction in the expression of the MMP-9 gene, thereby suppressing the migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. Therefore, Glaucine holds potential for research in asthma and breast cancer .

6-O-Methyl Guanosine is a Ribonucleoside. Replacement of the conserved G5, G8 or G12 residues in hammerhead ribozymes with 6-O-Methyl Guanosine reduces kcat without altering Km. 6-O-Methyl Guanosine exerts position-dependent regulatory effects on ribosomal velocity and fidelity. When 6-O-Methyl Guanosine is located at the first or third position of a codon, it decreases the accuracy of tRNA selection. When 6-O-Methyl Guanosine is located at the second position of a codon, it slows down the peptide bond formation rate of cognate aminoacyl-tRNA but does not change the reaction rate of near-cognate aminoacyl-tRNA .
