7-PPD (DMPPD) is a rubber antioxidant that scavenges free radicals and inhibits the oxidative degradation of rubber chains. 7-PPD shows promise for research in tire manufacturing and rubber product processing[1].

In Vivo

7-PPD (DMPPD) (100-200 mg/kg; injection; twice, 24 hours apart) does not induce a significant increase in micronuclei frequency or alter the P/N ratio in mouse bone marrow erythrocytes[1].
7-PPD (DMPPD) (100-200 mg/kg; i.p.; twice, 24 hours apart) does not induce a significant increase in chromosomal abnormalities in mouse bone marrow cells[1].

Animal Model: Inbred Swiss albino (male, 8-10 weeks old)[1]
Dosage: 100, 150, 200 mg/kg
Administration: injection; twice, 24 hours apart
