When used in combination with insulin, 8-(4-Chlorophenylthio)-cAMP enhances the activation of Sgk; it activates the cAMP pathway to promote the proliferation and iodine uptake of thyroid cells. 8-(4-Chlorophenylthio)-cAMP can be used in studies related to metabolism and signal transduction.
