Acolongifloroside K
Acolongifloroside K is a cardenolide toxin identified from the seeds of Strophanthus gratus. It exhibits acute cardiotoxicity, with acute toxicity comparable to that of Ouabain (HY-B1457). Acolongifloroside K is an active component in Maasai arrow poison prepared from Acokanthera schimperi. Acolongifloroside K can be used in studies related to cardiotoxicity and cardenolides.

Biological Activity
Acolongifloroside K is the major active cardiac glycoside in Maasai arrow poison derived from Acokanthera schimperi (accounting for 5.3% by weight, which is 50% of total cardiac glycosides). It also exists in the seeds of Strophanthus gratus, accounting for approximately 0.4% of seed weight[1][2].
Acolongifloroside K accounts for approximately 0.40% of the seed weight of Strophanthus gratus. It can be isolated as filamentous acicular crystals with a melting point of 179-181°C, and is confirmed to be consistent with the standard reference substance via chromatographic, spectroscopic and hydrolytic analyses[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
