Description

Albrassitriol is a natural sesquiterpene.

In Vitro

Albrassitriol (0.0625-8 μM; 48 h) does not exhibit significant cytotoxic activity against human cancer cell lines (IC50 > 40 μM)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Cytotoxicity Assay[1]

Cell Line: breast cancer SK-BR-3, hepatocellular carcinoma SMMC-7721, human myeloid leukemia HL-60, pancreatic cancer PANC-1, lung cancer A-549
Concentration: 0.0625, 0.32, 1.6, and 8 μM
Incubation Time: 48 h
Result: Showed no significant cytotoxic activity against all five tested human cancer cell lines, with IC₅₀ values greater than 40 μM.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
