Description

Antibacterial agent 115 (Compound 10) is an orally active antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent[1].

In Vitro

Antibacterial agent 115 (Compound 10) shows antibacterial activity with MIC values of both 2.72 μg/mL against Staphylococcus aureussubsp.aureus (ATCC 29213), Staphylococcus epidermidis (ATCC 12228) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Antibacterial agent 115 (Compound 10) (0-40 mg/kg; i.g.; seven consecutive days) shows anti-inflammatory activity[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Kunming female mice (body weight 18–22 g), 12-O-tetradecylphorbol-13- acetate (TPA) induced ear edema mice model[1].
Dosage: 10, 20, 40 mg/kg
Administration: Gavage, seven consecutive days
Result: Inhibited swelling of mouse ears and inhibited the expression of TNF-α, IL-1β and p65.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
