1. Anti-infection NF-κB Metabolic Enzyme/Protease Immunology/Inflammation
  2. Fungal Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) Mitochondrial Metabolism
  3. Antifungal agent-163

Antifungal agent-163 is an antifungal agent. Antifungal agent-163 inhibits the activity of coenzyme Q-cytochrome C reductase (CoQ-Ccr), thereby disrupting electron transport in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. Antifungal agent-163 induces intracellular ROS accumulation, causes cell membrane damage, and impairs mitochondrial function in *Sublineola* cells. Antifungal agent-163 exhibits control effects against fungal plant diseases. Antifungal agent-163 can be used in the research of sorghum anthracnose.

Description

Antifungal agent-163 is an antifungal agent. Antifungal agent-163 inhibits the activity of coenzyme Q-cytochrome C reductase (CoQ-Ccr), thereby disrupting electron transport in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. Antifungal agent-163 induces intracellular ROS accumulation, causes cell membrane damage, and impairs mitochondrial function in *Sublineola* cells. Antifungal agent-163 exhibits control effects against fungal plant diseases. Antifungal agent-163 can be used in the research of sorghum anthracnose[1].

In Vitro

Antifungal agent-163 (Compound A23) potently inhibits the mycelial growth of Colletotrichum sublineola (EC50 = 0.680 μg/mL) and Colletotrichum fructicola (EC50 = 2.11 μg/mL) in vitro, and exhibits strong activity against C. sublineola at a concentration of 25.0 μg/mL[1].
Antifungal agent-163 (0-50.0 μg/mL; 48 h) potently inhibits the activity of cytochrome bc1 complex in hyphae of Colletotrichum sublineola, with an IC50 of 16.6 μg/mL and an inhibition rate of up to 91.1% at the concentration of 50.0 μg/mL[1].
Antifungal agent-163 (12.5-25.0 μg/mL; 48 h) induces reactive oxygen species accumulation and cell membrane damage in hyphae of Colletotrichum sublineola[1].
Antifungal agent-163 (12.5-25.0 μg/mL) causes severe morphological and ultrastructural damage to hyphae of Colletotrichum sublineola, including surface deformation, mitochondrial damage and disruption of cellular structures[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
