Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, Insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. This gene encodes a member of the Potassium Channel, voltage-gated, subfamily F.
