In Vivo

AZD0233 (100 mg/kg; p.o; 4-8 weeks) exhibits cardiac protective effects, improving cardiac function and promoting reverse remodeling in the muscle LIM protein knock-out (MLP-KO) mouse model of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Muscle LIM protein knock-out (MLP-KO) mouse model of DCM[1]
Dosage: 100 mg/kg
Administration: p.o; 4 weeks or 8 weeks
Result: Showed a significant reduction in CD11b+ Ly6Chi inflammatory monocytes.
Showed a dose-dependent relative reduction in CX3CR1+ leukocytes and a decrease in myocardial fibrosis.
Revealed a reduction in abundance of CD45+ leukocytes starting at 2 weeks and lasting up to 8 weeks.
Shifted macrophage polarization towards M2 phenotype and inflammation resolution.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
