BCN-OH  (Synonyms: endo-9-Hydroxymethylbicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yne)

Cat. No.: HY-W111141 Purity: 98.20%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

BCN-OH (endo-9-Hydroxymethylbicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yne) is an alcohol functionalized cyclooctyne derivative. BCN-OH can act as a raw material for synthesizing other probes (such as BCN-TPP). BCN-OH is used to construct targeted probes by coupling with carboxyl-containing compounds (such as TPP-COOH). BCN-OH can be used as control reagent for BCN-TPP.

Description

BCN-OH (endo-9-Hydroxymethylbicyclo[6.1.0]non-4-yne) is an alcohol functionalized cyclooctyne derivative. BCN-OH can act as a raw material for synthesizing other probes (such as BCN-TPP). BCN-OH is used to construct targeted probes by coupling with carboxyl-containing compounds (such as TPP-COOH). BCN-OH can be used as control reagent for BCN-TPP[1].

In Vitro

BCN-OH has no significant effect on the mitochondrial respiration of A549 cells, and does not alter the mitochondrial basal respiration or ATP production, but BCN-TPP decreases in basal respiration[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
