Broquinaldol (compound 1) against Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis strains with MIC values of 0.39-1.56 μM. Broquinaldol is capable of clearing established methicillin-resistant S. aureus, with an EC50 value of 2.6 μM, and S. epidermidis (EC50 = 9.2 μM) biofilms in crystal violet assays[1].
