Way 100252
Way 100252 is a presynaptic GABA autoreceptor agonist. Way 100252 exerts its effect by inhibiting GABA release, and it suppresses GABA release induced by K+, Ca2+, Ouabain (HY-B1457) and electrical stimulation, with a more potent inhibitory effect on electrically evoked release. Way 100252 is used for studies related to GABAergic neurotransmission.

Activité biologique
Description
In Vitro
Way 100252 dose-dependently inhibits the release of [3H] GABA evoked by various stimuli in cross-cut rat cerebral cortical slices, with pD2 values of 5.8 (Ca2+), 7.4 (K+), 6.3 (electrical stimulation) and 6.0 (Ouabain (HY-B1457)) for different stimuli, respectively, and the maximum inhibitory effect ranges from 40% to 90%[1].
