Pixavir marboxilo (TG-1000) is an orally active prodrug of TG-0527 and an analog of Baloxavir marboxil (HY-109025). Pixavir marboxilo undergoes conversion to its active metabolite and inhibits the cap‑dependent endonuclease of Influenza Virus, reduces pulmonary viral titers, and suppresses the proliferation of influenza A, influenza B, H7N9 avian influenza, and neuraminidase‑resistant strains. Pixavir marboxilo can be used in influenza-related research.

Influenza hemagglutinin (HA) |
Pixavir marboxilo, via its active metabolite, inhibits influenza A (H1N1, H3N2) PA protein endonuclease activity with an EC50 of 1.74-10.93 nM and influenza B (B/Lee/40) PA protein endonuclease activity with an EC50 of 41.26 nM[2].
Pixavir marboxilo, via its active metabolite, inhibits influenza A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and influenza B viral replication in MDCK cells with EC50 values of 0.35-1.94 nM, 0.91-3.09 nM, and 2.75-11.90 nM respectively, and selects for reduced-susceptibility influenza A/H1N1 isolates with specific PA protein mutations[2].
