Biological Activity: Diacetoxy-6-gingerdiol is a gingerol isolated with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which is found in the dichloromethane extract of rhizomes of ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe). Diacetoxy-6-gingerdiol protects the extracellular matrix of nucleus pulposus cells and ameliorates intervertebral disc degeneration by inhibiting the IL-1β-mediated NLRP3 pathway[1][2][3].
