Biological Activity: Kasugamycin (Ksg) hydrochloride hydrate is an antibiotic that binds to 30s and 70s ribosomes but not to the 50s subunit, and has anti-infective activity. Kasugamycin hydrochloride hydrate mimics mRNA nucleotides, disrupts tRNA binding and inhibits canonical translation initiation. Kasugamycin hydrochloride hydrate increases the sensitivity of mycobacteria to Rifampicin (HY-B0272) in vitro and in mouse infection models[1][2][3].
