Biological Activity: p-Nitrophenyl phosphorylcholine (4-Nitrophenylphosphorylcholine) is a chromogenic Phospholipase C substrate. Phospholipase C hydrolyzes p-Nitrophenyl phosphorylcholine to release p-nitrophenol, a yellow chromophore. p-Nitrophenyl phosphorylcholine is used to determine the phospholipase C production of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It also applies to studies related to Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection[1].
