Biological Activity: Isomannide (1,4:3,6-Dianhydromannitol) is a cyclic diol and a derivative of Isosorbide (HY-B1469). Isomannide serves as a starting material for chiral solubilizers and a linker group for novel bacterial topoisomerase inhibitors (NBTIs). Isomannide is also used in the synthesis of biocompatible polymers[1][2].
