TET-13

TET-13 is a positive allosteric modulator of GABA_A receptor with an EC₅₀ of 5.65 μM, lower than that of Etomidate (EC₅₀: 9.29 μM). TET-13 shows potent anesthetic effects in both mice and rats (ED₅₀: 0.48 mg/kg and 0.69 mg/kg, respectively).

In Vitro

TET-13 (1 mg/mL, 0-30 min) is rapidly metabolized in SD rat plasma with a half-life T_1/2 of 0.48 min^[1].

In Vivo

TET-13 (1.2 mg/kg for mice, 1.725 mg/kg for rats, i.v.) shows potent anesthetic effects in both mice and rats (ED₅₀: 0.48 mg/kg and 0.69 mg/kg, respectively), with a faster recovery than Etomidate^[1].
TET-13 (1.38 mg/kg, i.v.) shows little inhibition on cortisone of rat serum, indicating it has no effect on cortisol biosynthesis^[1].
TET 13 (22 mg/kg/h) continuous infusion induces shorter recovery times and walking times than Etomidate in rats at 0.5, 1 and 2 hours^[1].
