Biological Activity
Copper dihydroxide (60 min (co-deposition at 10 K); annealed to 22 K; irradiated with 240-380 nm UV light, then λ > 220 nm UV light) forms a planar 2B9 ground state with C2ₕ symmetry, with observed infrared vibrational modes matching DFT-calculated values, and contains one copper atom bound to two equivalent hydroxyl groups[1].
Copper dihydroxide has a planar C2h symmetric 2B9 ground state with a Cu-O bond length of 1.753 Å, O-H bond length of 0.963 Å, and Cu-O-H bond angle of 117.1°, with calculated vibrational frequencies and isotopic shifts closely matching experimental infrared spectroscopy data[1].
