Biological Activity
Guidelines (Following is our recommended protocol. This protocol only provides a guideline, and should be modified according to your specific needs).
Brief steps for labeling polypropylene (PP) microplastics with Cy5.5-COOH for bioimaging[1]:
1. Labeling PP microplastics: Mix PP microplastics with tetrahydrofuran and distilled water, add Cy5.5-COOH solution in DMSO, stir for 4 days, then filter, wash, and dry.
2. Verifying labeling efficiency: Confirm particle size and morphology via SEM and PSA, validate chemical structure by FT-IR, and detect fluorescence intensity using IVIS imaging.
3. Stability tests: Evaluate fluorescence stability in corn oil and digestive stability in simulated gastrointestinal fluids.
4. Biodistribution study: After oral administration of Cy-PP to mice, monitor real-time in vivo distribution at different time points via IVIS, and detect fluorescence signals in organs and feces at 24 hours.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
