Description

Dipotassium phosphite is a phosphite salt and is an antibacterial agent. Dipotassium phosphite directly and indirectly affects development of Phytophthora infestans.Dipotassium phosphite reduces late blight severity in field-grown tomato plants and increases productivity of field-grown tomato plants. Dipotassium phosphite can be used for the research of late blight[1].

In Vivo

Dipotassium phosphite (2.5 mL/L of a 45.8% monopotassium and dipotassium phosphite formulation; foliar; every 7 days) in combination with fungicide reduces late blight severity by 90.01% and increases tomato yield by 638% relative to untreated controls[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Revolution hybrid (indeterminate type; open-field grown, naturally exposed to pathogen)[1]
Dosage: 2.5 mL/L of a 45.8% monopotassium and dipotassium phosphite formulation
Administration: foliar; every 7 days (12 total applications)
Result: Reduced final late blight severity by 90.01% and area under the disease progress curve for severity (AUDPCs) by 93.11% relative to untreated control plants when applied every 7 days with fungicide rotation.
Produced 36 flowers per plant, 41.65 fruits per plant, and a yield of 6.38 kg/plant, representing a 638% yield increase relative to the control when applied every 7 days with fungicide rotation.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
