Biological Activity
Ethyl nitroacetate, when reacting with electron-deficient olefins under base or copper salt catalysis, can selectively produce Michael adducts or isoxazoline cycloadducts by regulating the reaction conditions[1].
Ethyl nitroacetate can be used as a glycine template to synthesize unnatural α-amino esters through reactions such as condensation and cycloaddition[2].
